Work

We should set ourselves as examples to others. Paul talking to the Thessalonians stated he that does not work does not eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10&11. "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear there are those who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all but are busybodies."

When staying with family or friends for any length of time. We should make sure we help with whatever needs to be done. Wether it's helping prepare the food for meals, or washing dishes or laundry. Any help will be appreaciated because it makes those whom you are staying with feel better about providing the food and lodging for you. If you are just sitting around and eating their food they are going to get upset with you and quickly boot you to the curb.

This is the way i was raised. If i sat down to eat before i feed the animals i would not be served until i got up and took care of them. A case of you don't do your work, you don't eat my food. Nothing in this life comes for free. This taught me a work ethic that has stuck with me my entire life. I am no stranger to hard work and not afraid to work. I assign small tasks to my kids and its the same way. They don't do what they have been instructed to do they don't sit down at the supper table until its done. It's not like i have them move a house or something, just little things like, fold laundry or mow lawn, or do dishes.

Even in these tough times it still bugs me when people sit and claim a check without doing anything to earn it. i know there are those who simply cannot work for a medical reason these are not the people i am talking about. The ones i am talking about are those who are strong and healthy and fully able to work yet choose not to. The ones who won't even look for work.

Once again, these are just my opinions and you can choose to agree or disagree. Until next time..Godspeed
